Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 15, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using PDFToolkit you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Your data is not saved
All tools on PDFToolkit are browser-based. When you choose a file, it is opened and processed by your own browser, on your own device. The file is not uploaded to our server or to any other server, and we do not save, copy, read or share your files or the results. Your files exist only in your browser's memory while the page is open and are removed when you close or refresh the page. Because we never receive your files, we cannot recover them for you; please keep your own copies.
3. Free service, no account
The website is free to use and does not need an account or personal information.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the tools only for lawful purposes and only with files you have the right to use. You must not try to attack, overload, copy or interfere with the website, its security, or other people's use of it.
5. Quality of results
Some conversions work on text content only and may not keep the exact layout, images or fonts of the original file. Smart tools such as the summarizer and question generator run on your device using simple text analysis and can make mistakes. Always check the result before you rely on it. Redaction and compression create new pages as pictures; check the output before you share it.
6. No warranty
The website and tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PDFToolkit and its owners are not liable for any loss or damage, including loss of data or files, arising from the use of the website or its tools.
8. Intellectual property
You keep all rights to your files. The website design, text and code belong to PDFToolkit, except for open-source libraries, which stay under their own licences.
9. Changes
We may update these terms or the website at any time. The date above shows the latest update. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
