What is Split PDF?
A long PDF is rarely useful as one block. This tool lets you break it apart: save every page as its own file, or tell it which pages you want and get them in one new document. It is handy for sending a single chapter, sharing one invoice from a bundle or cutting a scan into separate forms. Nothing is uploaded, because your browser does all the work.
How to split a PDF online
- Choose your PDF, or drop it onto the box at the top of the page.
- Pick what to save. “Every page as a separate file” gives you a ZIP with one PDF per page. “Chosen pages in one PDF” creates a single new document.
- For chosen pages, type the numbers in the Pages box, for example 1-3, 7, 10-12. Commas separate items and a dash means a range.
- Press Start, then download pages.zip or pages.pdf. Open the first file to confirm it contains the pages you expected.

Tips for better results
Look at the page numbers in your PDF viewer before you type a range, because the printed number on a page can differ from its position in the file. If you only want to discard a few pages, Delete PDF Pages is quicker than listing everything you want to keep. A ZIP of single pages can be large for a 300-page file, so use a computer for those. After splitting, you can recombine selected parts later with the Merge PDF tool.
