What is Delete PDF Pages?

Blank sheets, cover pages, outdated appendices and scanned mistakes all make a PDF harder to use. This tool deletes the pages you name and saves the rest as a clean new file. The remaining pages keep their original quality, because nothing is redrawn or converted.

How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF file.
  2. Type the pages to delete in the box, for example 2, 5-6.
  3. Press Start. The tool removes those pages from a copy of the document.
  4. Download the edited file and scroll through it to make sure nothing important was removed.

When Delete PDF Pages is useful

Cleaning up scans

Drop blank pages created by double-sided scanning.

Removing private pages

Take out pages with personal details before you share a document.

Shortening a report

Delete sections that are not relevant to the person who will read it.

Tips for better results

The tool refuses to delete every page, because that would leave an empty file. If you are unsure which page numbers to type, open the PDF in the PDF Reader tool and note them first. When you want to remove a section and also reorder what is left, finish with Organize PDF.

Good to know before you start

Deleting pages is a good last step before you share a file, because it shrinks the document and removes distractions. Check the order of the remaining pages afterwards, especially if the PDF had a table of contents that refers to page numbers, since those references are not updated automatically. If you are cleaning up a scan, delete blank sheets first and then compress the result so that the file is easy to attach. Keep the original in a separate folder, because the edited copy cannot bring removed pages back. The tool works on one file at a time and accepts documents up to 300 MB.

Why use PDFToolkit
