A free PDF converter that keeps your files on your device
PDFToolkit (also written PDF Converter Toolkit, the name of this website) is a free collection of PDF tools for the everyday jobs people run into: joining several files, pulling out a few pages, making a heavy scan small enough to email, or turning a PDF into Word, Excel, PowerPoint or images. Every tool runs inside your own web browser. When you pick a file, it is opened and processed on your computer or phone, not uploaded to a server. There is no account to create, no daily limit and no watermark on the files you download.

Who uses PDFToolkit
Students combine lecture notes and compress scanned assignments and college applications before uploading them to a portal. Office workers merge invoices, split long reports and sign approvals. Homeowners and renters fill out a lease agreement, a W-9 or other tax forms and redact account numbers before sharing them. Patients and parents complete medical forms without printing them. Freelancers send tidy proposals and contracts, and job seekers prepare a single application file from a resume, a cover letter and certificates. Small business owners convert spreadsheets and documents to PDF so customers see the same thing on every device. If you work with PDFs only now and then, you can use the tools without installing software or registering.
How your privacy is protected
Most online PDF websites send your document to a server, process it there and send it back. PDFToolkit does the opposite: the code that merges, converts or edits your file is loaded into your browser and runs there. The file is held in your device's memory while the page is open and disappears when you close or refresh the tab. Because we never receive your files, we cannot read, keep or share them. One tool needs a download to work: OCR fetches its open-source recognition engine and language data when you use it, but your document is still not sent anywhere.
What to expect from the results
Browser-based tools are fast and private, and they have limits. Page-level tools such as merge, split, rotate and extract copy pages exactly as they are. Conversion tools focus on content: for example, PDF to Word extracts text, and Word to PDF turns the text of a document into pages, so complex layouts and embedded pictures are not reproduced. Each tool page explains what it does and where to be careful, so you can pick the right one the first time.
